A Bit about Me

Ive been into radio of all kinds since childhood....mainly because of the `space race` and have been an avid fan of the pops and whistles in the stratosphere! I only recently , a couple of years ago , got round to getting a license , mainly due to the pressures of work etc. I am now very interested in SSTV and all modes of data transmission i.e WEFAX etc, and did get some good stuff from Mir.......sadly no longer with us! Anything `radio` is , of course, interesting and any comments or suggestions would be fine! I live in Tyne And Wear and am a keen ( work permitting) member of the South Tyneside Amateur Radio Society or, S.T.A.R.S for short! If you get the time ....check out the link and sign the book!

Well, thats about it for the potted history , except to say that this is my first go at a site that didnt do everything for me ! like tripod etc so please forgive any mistakes!
