The 2 Metre Gateway Is now on unattended operation most of the time with the callsign MB7INE.
To access the gateway just listen for a few seconds to make sure its not in use and call in. A CTCSS tone of 118.8 is required for the 2 metre link, the Tx and Rx frequencies are 145.3375Mhz.
The actual schedule is
TX: 145.3375Mhz
RX: 145.3375Mhz
Mode: F3E
Power: 7w from a Diamond mono bander at about 28 masl.
Because of the nature of the internet there may be a delay before the other station returns to you, this is unavoidable and you will probably find that a longer `over` will work better. To tell if the gateway is active , just listen for a few seconds then call in. Please leave about 4 seconds between overs! this allows the network to `re set`.You do not need to use DTMF tones or reset the gate after use as it is `parked` in a conference room. This means you will get a `busy` notice if you try to connect. You simply need to rut out a `CQ` with your ctcss set at 118.8 or return to someone else doing the same!
